Eve Livingood, Staff Writer

Graffiti Literary Magazine is Charlottesville High School’s very own student-run literature magazine. C.H.S. students Kaymin Hester, Luke Roberts, and Camden Baucom make up the Graffiti team and have been working hard to make the literary magazine a reality even in our virtual learning setting. CHS students are encouraged to get involved by submitting their own writing and art, and all mediums are welcomed with open arms. The literary magazine aims to give the many different voices of our school the space to share and showcase their artwork. I interviewed Mrs.Goodwin, the Graffiti club sponsor to get more information.

This year, the literary magazine is going to be published and easily accessible to students and staff on the KTR website. “I find it exciting. To my knowledge, Graffiti has always been a paper copy but clearly times have changed,” Mrs. Goodwin says. “We really want to give students the chance to learn together and to share together especially in a virtual world. We are excited to see what thoughts, what concerns, and what artwork the students will put out there.” Any work will be accepted including written work, scripts, visual art, photography and musical endeavors as long as it is compliant with the guidelines (linked below). However, students are also encouraged to submit work that reflects the temporary theme. The theme for this cycle is freedom and restriction (more details in the submission link below).
