Charlottesville High School takes pride in the countless distinct cultures and ethnicities represented within the core of our school. Every year, CHS hosts a diversity assembly to highlight the importance of different heritages.
There are traditions from cultural dances, flag representations, fashion shows, and so much more. These all showcase the beauty of coming together as one strong community. The theme this year is “We All Belong Here,” and a documentary will be shown featuring students giving examples of why they feel like they belong here at CHS, such as being involved in clubs, certain classes, sports teams, etc.
The Diversity Assembly will be held on Friday, November 21st at the Martin Luther King Jr. Performing Arts Center, (also known as the auditorium) after an hour of first period. Make sure to check in with your first period teacher, as you will be sitting with that class. Be sure to come support the importance of diversity at CHS; you won’t want to miss it!
