Looking for some restaurant recommendations in Charlottesville? Here are a few of our CHS staff’s favorite spots that you might want to try out!
To kick things off, Mr.Mace’s favorite place is Tavola. It’s an Italian spot in Belmont that’s super popular, so getting a reservation can be a bit tricky. It’s also on the pricier side, so it’s more of a “treat-yourself” kind of place. But if you’re in the mood for great food and a cozy vibe, it’s definitely worth it.
A lot of the teachers also love The Local. It’s a relaxed, southern-inspired restaurant with locally sourced dishes. It’s reasonably priced and really family-friendly, so it’s a solid option whether you’re out with the family, or just grabbing a bite with friends.
Mrs. Baker swears by Sticks. It’s a casual spot with quick and tasty food, especially if you’re in the mood for Mediterranean flavors. Perfect for a quick family dinner or just a classic meal when you’re hungry and don’t want to wait too long.
Mr.O’Grady’s favorite is Three Notch’d Craft Kitchen & Brewery. He goes there often with his family and says the food is fantastic, plus they’ve got a lot of great vegetarian options. If you’re into craft beer, you’re in luck. They brew their own, and it’s a nice spot for a chill meal.
For a more special night out, Mr. Deegan and his wife enjoy C&O and Southern Crescent. Both places have a warmer, intimate look, which makes them great for a date night, or just a quiet evening to yourself. C&O’s has a bit more of a wide variety, while Southern Crescent has a more assorted menu. Either one makes for a great evening out.
Whether you’re looking for something quick and easy, or planning a more special night, Charlottesville has plenty of great places to eat. These spots are definitely some of our teachers’ top picks, and now they’re yours to check out, too!
