The other night (3/13/25) CHS Black Knights took on the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers in their second scrimmage as a team. The match had some long standing rivalries as the Knights recently beat Jefferson Forest 2-1 in the State Championship last season. Last nights win solidified the debate about which team was better as CHS won once again in nostalgic fashion with a 2-1 finish. Amin Zakari scored a penalty about halfway into the first half. Then after going down to an unfortunate goal late in the 1st half, the teams went 1-1 into halftime. After back and forth for 25 minutes a beautiful hold up play from Thimson Duolo in the opponents box; Dylan Buzzoni ended up with the ball and because of a nice hesi from Buzzoni he slipped past one defender and put the ball in the net. The Knights triumphed over their championship rivals once again and proved that they are definitely heating up for the regular season.
