Mr. Robinson’s DE Government class is staging a mock election for Charlottesville City Council. The candidates are CiCi Rajland and Pierce Baker. In mock elections, the candidates create fictional biographies and share how they would serve their constituents if elected.
Ciaijah (CiCi) Ragland, and is a proud Charlottesville native, who has lived in the area for all 28 years of her life. Originally from rural Louisa, Virginia. She graduated from Charlottesville High School in 2014 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan, where she developed her passion for politics and civic engagement. With a strong connection to her hometown and rural roots, she is committed to positively impacting our community.
Cici’s opposition is Pierce Baker. He has been a teacher for 10 years and a local Law Attorney for 12. Because of this prior experience, he focused on including everyone and providing a policy that everyone can benefit from, including traffic issues, trash and clean up, and food prices. He has a strong understanding of political policy and how to connect with people.
