The Super Bowl is the most anticipated day of the year for every football lover. However, even if football isn’t totally your thing, this year’s game might be worth tuning into, even if only to watch a very special halftime show. Either way, whether for the game itself, or the entertainment that comes with it, here is everything you need to know about Super Bowl LVII:

When and where is Super Bowl?

This year’s game will take place on Sunday, February 12 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kickoff time will be at 6:30 p.m. ET.

How to watch the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl LVII will air on FOX, but for those without access to this channel it will also be available on many other platforms with live TV subscriptions, such as Hulu and Youtube TV. Starting this year, Amazon, CBS, ESPN/ABC, FOX and NBC will also distribute NFL games across television and their digital platforms, according to the NFL.

Who is playing in Super Bowl LVII?

This year, two of the top seed teams will be battling off on the field. The Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams finished their regular season with a 14-3 record, which was tied for the best record in the NFL.

Who are the quarterbacks for both teams?

Jalen Hurts is the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles and Patrick Mahomes is the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. This year will be the first Super Bowl in history with two Black starting quarterbacks.

Who are the coaches for each team?

The coach for the Kansas City Chiefs is Andy Reid, who initially started as an NFL coach for the Eagles in 1999, and coached for them until 2012. This is the third Super Bowl appearance in the last four seasons for the Chiefs. The Philadelphia Eagles are led by Nick Sirianni, who is in his second season as the Eagle’s head coach. Sirianni hopes to bring a victory to the eagles for the first time since 2017.

Who is performing in the halftime show?

This year, nine-time Grammy Award winner Rihanna will be performing in the halftime show.

Who else is performing at the Super Bowl?

The national anthem will be performed by eight-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton prior to the game. Troy Kotsur will perform the national anthem alongside Stapleton in American Sign Language (ASL). Emmy-winning Sheryl Lee Ralph will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” during the pre-show as well, and R&B artist Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds will also perform a rendition of “America the Beautiful.”

When was the last time each team won the Super Bowl?

The Eagles have won one Super Bowl in franchise history, winning Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots during their 2017 season. The Chiefs have won two Super Bowls in franchise history. After they beat the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV in the 1969 season, the Chiefs waited 50 years before winning another Super Bowl, winning against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV in 2019.

Who is predicted to win?

According to ESPN, out “of 71 experts who weighed in, the Eagles were favored by 45 of them (63.4%), while the Chiefs claimed 26 votes (36.6%).”
