As the school year is ending, we realize summer is coming up, which means nice weather and live music. Since we haven’t been able to have stable live music during the pandemic, this summer has an insane lineup of artists coming to town. Though we have some talented artists coming to Charlottesville, there are more significant artists coming to larger cities around us such as  Washington DC, Virginia Beach, and even Richmond. Major artists coming to Richmond are ones like Bon Iver, Norah Jones, Weird Al, Beabadoobee, Pi’erre Bourne, Dean Lewis, and Wallows. Major artists in DC will be Bad Bunny, Lorde, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aurora, Lady Gaga, Doja Cat, and Tom Odell. Lastly, significant artists in Virginia Beach are popular country singers like Kieth Urban, Morgan Wallen, and more. However, in Charlottesville, we have a very special, and particularly local, lineup of artists and collaborations. I encourage all of the students at C.H.S to go to these concerts, as they not only could be your favorite artists, but they help the Charlottesville community and its economy.
