Super Amanecer Latino Market Provides Food for Diversity Week
June 1, 2018
This year for Diversity Week at C.H.S. a local Latino Market called Super Amanecer graciously donated pupusas, a Salvadoran dish that is enjoyed in all of Central America. Pupusas consist of thick tortillas with savory fillings, typically enjoyed with salsa. Students got the chance to enjoy these pupusas during Diversity Week thanks to Super Amanecer Market. Irela Vater, ESL teacher at C.H.S. said of Super Amanecer, “They are really cooking local food. Thanks to Amanecer we got to taste pupusas!” This local restaurant has ratings through the roof from local civilians, and is a must try in Charlottesville. “Go and support your local Latino Market to try their truly authentic food and restaurant.” Supporting local businesses in Charlottesville is a perfect way to get in touch with the community and give back to the hard-working people of Charlottesville. Thank you, Super Amanecer!
