The pet of a lifetime

In my opinion, goats are one of the most underrated pets you can have. They are great entertainment and very funny, and they produce milk. They can even cut your grass for you! But when it comes to owning a pet goat, there are some rules: You must have have at least one (because if you have just one, it may get depressed and die), you need a shelter for it, and you need fencing around where it is going to stay. You don’t want your goat running away.

When it comes to the types of goats, there are countless options. If you want one that can be in the house with you, then there are pygmy goats and Nigerian dwarf goats, Those main miniature breeds. The miniature goats can be great companions and tons of fun. They are also very cute.

The maintenance of a goat is actually not too difficult. Just give it sanitary housing, good quality pasture, nutritious food, and plenty of sunshine. If you do all that, then your pet goat will be in store for a good, healthy life with little to no medical issues (disclosure: the K.T.R. did not consult a veterinarian). If you don’t have quality pasture like most folks, then that is no problem. Just get yourself a pygmy or a Nigerian dwarf. They don’t need that expansive, well-maintained pasture like your Average Farmer Joe has.

If you are worried about the expenses of this fine animal, don’t fret. The cost of taking care about it are just as much as your dog. You can treat them like your average dog, too. By that, I mean you can take them on walks, play with them, watch T.V. with them, and even include them in your annual Christmas card. So, really, you can can get all the attributes of a dog and the uniqueness of a goat! As I stated earlier, goats are really slept on pets, and they really deserve to be in the mainstream. So when you’re walking your average ol’ pooch down the street, don’t look at me funny when you see me with a little goat on a leash walking down the street.
