How Electric Car Could Change the World

As we start 2021, electric cars have been on a rise in popularity over the years. Many people have realized that electric cars are regularly changing and their technology is still evolving every year. When it comes to owning an electric car, there are advantages and disadvantages. Some advantages are that they are less expensive and require less maintenance. Another advantage is that they are better for the environment, which can help achieve cleaner air and lowering greenhouse gases. A disadvantage is that it is sometimes difficult to find a charging station, and electric cars have a shorter range than gas-powered cars. In Charlottesville, you can find a Tesla charging station, which is convenient for people who are close to it. If not, it can be time-consuming for you.

I asked a student from CHS, “What are your thoughts on electric cars?” Utshab Rai, a sophomore, says, “Compared to combustion engines that run on gasoline, electric cars run electricity, which means it’s better for the environment.” I asked another student from college, Edwin Lopez-Sanchez, who said, “I would say they are the future of motorized vehicles.” They both have the same view over electric cars, and both agree that electric cars are better for the environment. Tesla is one of the most known companies for electric cars and has been on the rise lately. If you were to go back a couple of years in Charlottesville, you would not see a single electric car But now you see at least one Tesla car every day. It is because a lot of people have realized owning an electric car is beneficial.

Electric cars are the future of the motor industry and years from now, there will be more cars, and electric cars will be able to change the world.
